Born January 12, 1972, Jason brought light and laughter into this world. A resident of Gonzales and native of Rosedale, Jason was the Line Service Supervisor with Executive Aviation. After graduating from Catholic High School, Jason's love for flying took him to Louisiana Tech University, then to South Louisiana Community College. Born January 12, 1972, Jason brought light and laughter into this world. A resident of Gonzales and native of Rosedale, Jason was the Line Service Supervisor with Executive Aviation. After graduating from Catholic High School, Jason's love for flying took him to Louisiana Tech University, then to South Louisiana Community College. Jason was a pilot and Certified Aircraft Mechanic. At 45, he reached his destination in the skies on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Jason was a member of the Palo Alto Rifle and Pistol Club. He was an avid Motocross fan and enjoyed dirt bike riding, often with his nephew, Gavin.
Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Services will continue Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00am followed by mass at Church of the Nativity, 15615 Laurel St., Rosedale, LA, Fr. Jerry Phillips will officiate. Burial to follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Jason is survived by the love of his life and partner in crime, Dawn Womack Best, daughter, Aubri Best, parents Harvey T. and Shirley Parault Best III, brother Harvey (Taylor) and Odelia (Dee Dee) Best IV, father and mother in law, Floyd (Sonny) and Diane Womack, brothers in law, Daniel and wife, Megan Womack, Dean and wife, Sarah Womack, sister in law, Amy Womack, nieces, Maegan Best, Alexa, Presley, and Magdalyn Womack, nephews, Taylor (Luke) and wife, Emily Best V, Ethen, Gavin, Ashton, Aidan, Camden and Dane Womack. He was proceeded in death by his brother, Blaine D. Best, brother in law, David W. Womack, Paternal grandparents Harvey T. Best Jr and Helen Landry, maternal grandparents Jesse and Mary Parault, uncles, Darry, Clifford and Jesse Parault. Pallbearers will be Harvey (Taylor) Best IV, Harvey (Luke) Best V, George Silvio, Blayne Coupel, Mitchel David, Daniel Womack, Dean Womack and Gavin Womack. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Hubbard, James Best, Jason Andrus, Ashton Womack, Dane Womack and Kenneth Hill.
