Obituary


Mrs. Glenda passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at her home in Geismar surrounded by her loving family. She was a graduate of Dutchtown High School attended LSU, became a hairdresser and worked as beautician and paraprofessional. She was paraprofessional of the year in Ascension Parish and retired after 25 years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Robert "Doc" Sholar; Daughter Erin (Jarrett) Sholar Daigle; 2 sons Charles "Drew" (Chitty) Sholar, Brian (Alissa B.) Sholar; 6 grandchildren Hunter Sholar, Belen Sholar, Katie Daigle, Allie Daigle, Claire Sholar,...

Sholar; 6 grandchildren Hunter Sholar, Belen Sholar, Katie Daigle, Allie Daigle, Claire Sholar, Cade Sholar; 3 sisters Charlotte R. Landry, Winifred R. Kennison, Inez R. Banker; 2 brothers Charles A Rivault, Michael R. Rivault. She is preceded in death by her mother and father Inez Rabb Rivault and Charles "Sunny" Rivault. A visitation will be held in her memory at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, LA on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am Fr. Jerry Martin will officiate. Entombment to follow at Hope Haven Mausoleum, Prairieville. Pallbearers will be David Landry, James Kennison, Ray Banker, Hunter Sholar, Tommy Glatt, Kevin Rivault, Shawn Blouin, Dana Gautreau, Cade Sholar. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or The Cancer Society. Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales is in charge of arrangements.
