Gealeen Marie Lofton Wiley, 87, formerly of Gonzales, Louisiana, and a resident of Mission, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mission, Texas. Born August 6, 1929 in Gilbert, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Flossie Tarver Lofton. Gealeen worked for many years before retirement along side her husband Rev. Clarence Birchel Wiley in the ministry. Gealeen also retired from Sears as a catalog sales associate. Gealeen was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed collecting birdhouses and dolls. Gealeen Marie Lofton Wiley, 87, formerly of Gonzales, Louisiana, and a resident of Mission, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Mission, Texas. Born August 6, 1929 in Gilbert, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Flossie Tarver Lofton. Gealeen worked for many years before retirement along side her husband Rev. Clarence Birchel Wiley in the ministry. Gealeen also retired from Sears as a catalog sales associate. Gealeen was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed collecting birdhouses and dolls. Her favorite pastime was playing dominoes. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Huey Lofton and Daniel Lofton, Sr. and a sister, Frances McDonald. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Clarence Birchel Wiley, two sons, Jerry Lynn Wiley and wife, Patricia and Ralph Michael Wiley and Terri Adams, and a daughter, Naya Jean Wiley. She is survived by four grandchildren, Tiffany Wiley Miranda and husband, Jim, Tammy Wiley Lofton and husband, Bradley, Melissa Wiley Ward and husband, Kenneth, and Daniel Rey Wiley and wife, Kimberly. She is survived by seven great grandchildren, Mercedes Brooke Miranda, Alexis Naya Miranda, Krislyn Joy Hudson, Katrina Marie Hudson, Kenneth Dwayne Hudson, Jr., Victoria Bethany Ward and Makenna Noel Ward. Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2016 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at First Apostolic Church, 14325 Highway 44, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Religious services will follow after the visitation. Pallbearers will be Daniel Rey Wiley, Bobby Lofton, Bradley Lofton, Bruce Lofton, Earl Gros and Kenneth Wayne Ward. Burial will be at the Galvez Pentecostal Church Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Gonzales, Louisiana. Ourso Funeral Home is in charge of the services.
